....the novels by Jordan T. Maxwell
The author had me from the very beginning sentence. The sweet love between the two main characters was what love should be in our lives.
The twists and turns keep the reader guessing. I will suggest this book to my friends and family. I can't wait for his next book!

"A treasure can be anything to a person. It could be a person you want to marry, a keepsake from a person’s past, it could even be a secret. Sometimes those treasures are meant to be shared. "Dandyflowers" is a story about one of those times.
Recently engaged, Erin Collins receives a timeless treasure of her own from her father, Jerry. He shares with her a special love story of when he met his first love, Laura Butler, in a small Missouri town where they experience the 1960’s. "Dandyflowers" lets the reader experience it too, in a whole new light.
It’s hard to believe that this story is fictional because it was incredible. With each character, with each page, you fall in love with it a little more.
Jerry told his daughter about his first love to show her what true love is like. I found a love story that I could not put down because it had great moral values. Because of that underlying moral base, the reader will connect to the story a little more deeply.
Jerry and Laura’s story will live through the ages. It truly shows what true love is and that’s what makes it memorable. It’s "The Notebook" meets "Love Comes Softly" and is perfect for everyone."

"Love [him] with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your passion all the time. When he comes home treat him like you haven't seen him in a month. Love him! Don't waste any time fighting or arguing. Love him! Even when he seems unlovable, especially when he seems unlovable, love him!...Love with all you have."
Take a journey with two ordinary people as they live and love an extraordinary love.
Jordan T. Maxwell tells a story of an unknown, amazing life, and a love that will captivate the reader and keep them holding on until the very last word on the very last page.
Imagine what it would be like to find a treasure in an attic as a child, and then to one day rediscover that treasure through the eyes of its beholder to learn that it's something so much more than you could've ever imagined.
Dandyflowers is story of a father who's kept a journal regularly since he was in high school. Over a weekend he shares his secrets with his soon to be wed daughter, wanting to give her his advice about love, and from beginning to heart gripping end, the reader is privy to a wondrous life, filled with a rare love that is more easily dreamt of than obtained.
I read this book in one day and found myself unable to put it down. I laughed, loved, lived, and cried right along with the characters, and was sad to see the story end. I've read many books, but rarely has one moved me the way Dandyflowers did. It's a thought provoking look at love that makes you stop and think about what is truly most important in life.
Dandyflowers is a tale of love that is paradigm of what love should be: unconditional and never ending.
I highly recommend this book, and anxiously await its sequel.

"DANDYFLOWERS is a beautiful, heartwarming, and heartbreaking book. Erin is about to be married to Jack. She is also about to learn more than she ever knew about her father, Jerry.
Erin is a bit embarrassed when her father suggests she visit for the weekend so he can have a "love talk" with her. She reminds him that she had the "birds and bees talk" years ago with her mother. He assures her this is something different.
The talk begins with a startling revelation - Erin's father was married once before he married her mother. It was to his high school sweetheart and their love story is a beautiful one. Readers of this book are taken on a precious journey as Erin's father shares his yearly journals throughout his high school years and a few beyond. She learns how me met and fell in love with his first wife Laura. The chapters feature details of their relationship that will make readers feel they are living day to day right along with the characters.
Maxwell has crafted a story rich with detail and emotion that had me at times laughing, at others swallowing a lump in my throat, and finally wiping away the tears. Teen girls dreaming of a future love will be sucked into the story and richly rewarded if their futures eventually offer them even half the love felt in this book."

Dandyflowers captivated my heart and my imagination from the very first page! I had great difficulty putting this book down. The further into the story I read, the more I felt drawn to the characters and their amazing love story. By book end, they were like old friends to me and I was saddened when our journey together came to an end.
"An Attic is an interesting place to visit; it holds treasures and secrets. Sometimes the secrets are the treasures."
Clearly, the real treasure in this book is the impact it has on the reader. What a wonderful reminder of how good life can be!
